I’m Sammie (Seungmi), a product designer born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Coming from a family of engineers, I was the odd one out—fascinated by psychology, philosophy, acting, and aesthetics. Under family pressure, I majored in English and Communications and initially pursued journalism, even working for a year at one of South Korea’s largest news agencies.

But that experience made me realize I wasn’t just interested in reporting the world’s issues—I wanted to solve problems and create a positive impact. My biggest strength (and passion) lies in approaching problems with a mix of creativity, practicality, and fun, always working within real-world constraints. I thrive on feedback and stay open to new perspectives.

Now, I’m looking for new opportunities where I can apply what I’ve learned, grow alongside talented people, and contribute to impactful products that reach a broad audience.

When I’m not at my MacBook, you’ll probably find me cooking, making coffee, obsessing over furniture, but mostly watching movies 🍿 👀
